About Us
The South Eastern Amateur Radio Group is a non-profit organisation based in
Waterford city in the South-East of Ireland which caters for those with an
interest in amateur radio experimentation.
The group is affiliated to the
Irish Radio Transmitters Society!
The national society for Ireland of the International Amateur Radio Union
(IARU). We maintain and operate a number of voice repeaters in the South East that constitute part of the 'Southern Ireland Repeater Network' which is run co-operatively between us and the East Cork Radio Group (EI7M). See our repeaters page for comprehensive information about our infrastructure including coverage maps, photographs and technical data. The EI7MLR repeater was the first repeater in Ireland to have IRLP capability.
Our meetings take place in Roanmore Social and Sports Centre, Cleaboy Road, Waterford at 8.30 p.m. on the last Monday of each month. Our committee meetings take place at the same location on the last Monday of each month.
