IRTS The South Eastern Amateur Radio Group is a non-profit organisation based in Waterford city in the South-East of Ireland which caters for those with an interest in amateur radio experimentation.

We currently have 11 members in Counties Carlow, Kerry, Kilkenny & Waterford with interests in a wide range of aspects of radio experimentation including SSB, CW, Satellite Operation, Packet, VHF, ATV, Voluntary Emergency Communications (AREN), Digital Modes, APRS and Repeaters.

The group is affiliated to the Irish Radio Transmitters Society! The national society for Ireland of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU).

We transmit the IRTS radio news at 9.30 p.m. (local time) every Tuesday via the Southern Ireland Repeater Network. Reports are welcome via the call-in directly after the news broadcast and SWL reports can be e-mailed to  .

We maintain and operate a number of voice repeaters in the South East that constitute part of the 'Southern Ireland Repeater Network' which is run co-operatively between us and the East Cork Radio Group (EI7M). See our repeaters page for comprehensive information about our infrastructure including coverage maps, photographs and technical data. The EI7MLR repeater was the first repeater in Ireland to have IRLP capability.

Our meetings take place in Roanmore Social and Sports Centre, Cleaboy Road, Waterford at 8.00 p.m. on the last Monday of each month. Our committee meetings take place at the same location on the first Monday of each month.
